So how much is that loyalty point you earned actually worth?
Did you get hit with customs/duties/import charges on an Amazon.ca purchase? Fight back!

Get an Aeroplan Visa Infinite card from TD or CIBC, or the Amex Aeroplan card. Free checked bags for you and everyone else on your itinerary.

Experienced travellers, how do you guys manage the cancellation of the flights? I have heard many stories of flights gets cancelled by the airlines because the flight is not full. Last year, I had booked a flight from Vancouver to Toronto in Porter and it got cancelled few hours before the departure. I have to scramble to find a return flight to avoid paying another night stay in there. At the end , I had to pay more than what I paid to Porter for the return flight. Got really pissed. It ruined my day as well and they only refunded the amount I paid.

Thanks, I will take a look at it. I rarely take flight travel so didn't know about insurances for tickets cancellation. Will look into getting them going forward.
